The recent consultation which took place from 6th-28th March is now closed.

A total of 3 responses were received via the feedback form. These responses related principally to transport and highlighted the potential impacts of the different options for the local access changes to be introduced to Bredhurst. These responses are being considered by our transport consultant, Charles & Associates (C&A) in their development of the transport strategy for the Lidsing Garden Community.

Additionally, C&A received 42 responses to their own consultation regard the local access options for Bredhurst. The responses received revealed the following results:

• The majority of the responses received (61%) were from residents of Bredhurst.

• The main travel destinations identified (for school/work) were Maidstone and Rainham.

• Of the local access options proposed, the most preferred option was the closure of Forge Lane to through traffic, followed by the combined closures of Forge Lane and Dunn Street Road (south of Bredhurst) to through traffic.
